convenient rack - especially if you rent Jan 08, 2007
By Mara Twink Extremely lightweight and easy to install; because it is pressure-mounted, you don't need to make any holes in the wall, floor, or ceiling. It's a little awkward to mount two bikes, though not impossible. An excellent product.

Sparehand - Bargain price/bargain results Sep 29, 2008
By Bama Biker

I purchased one of these lower price units and also one of the Topeak pole units. The Topeak shows German engineering and much higher quality so it is easy to understand why it costs more. The adjustment of the Sparehand is crude but probably adquate if using in a garage with concrete floor and if your are not worried about your ceiling. The Sparehand will stay in the garage with only my spare bikes on it.

Great Product Jun 09, 2007

I'm very pleased with the product. It worked exactly as stated, and being a renter has created a great place to put my bike without taking up a lot of space.

Arnster1234 Jan 09, 2010

I was very satisfied with this product. Perhaps the best thing about it is that it is so EASY to set up. If you are like me, you get that sinking feeling when you order a product, take it out of the box and realize that putting it together is going to be a major fiasco. No so with this product. ANYONE can take this out of it's box, set it up and put two bikes on it within a couple on minutes. The manufacturer of this product understands the KISS Theory: Keep it simple, stupid!

Nice Rack!! Jul 12, 2010
By Gregory D. Stoltz
"Lakeman"
This rack is holding two 35lb. mountain bikes with no problems. It looks good also with its chrome and black finish. Just for insurance...I have inserted a screw into the knotch beneath the top rack to stop it in a case where it would slide down the pole. I don't think that it will happen though because it seems plenty tight. The hardest part is lifting the top bike in place. Most people can do this easy enough. Just make sure that the floor and ceiling are good and solid where you install the rack. There is no need to over-tighten it to the ceiling. Just use enough pressure to keep it firmly in place. I installed mine where my closet juts out into my garage. I was able to position it near the corner of this which allowed the handle bars to hang around the corner. This allowed me to keep the rack even closer to the wall and saving more space.
